OLIVE line family tree chart

This line is descended from John Adamthwaite who married Isabel Keasley in Ravenstonedale in 1753.  We know that John was a Dissenter (two of his children were recorded as 'Dissenter's children' in the Ravenstonedale Parish Registers) but I am fairly sure that in fact he was a son of Thomas Adamthwaite, husbandman of Murthwaite (also a known Dissenter) - but only have circumstantial information to support this.

Most of this line remained in England - moving out of Westmorland in the 1870s to Co Durham where the menfolk worked in the mines.  However, the youngest son of William Adamthwaite and Sarah (Mason) - William - tried the mines for a short while, then emigrated to Australia where he became a market gardener and raised a large family in Queensland with his second wife Mary Jane Houghton.

The following chart is VERY wide and shows all branches of this line of Adamthwaites.
