a walk around Ravenstonedale

Not many of us have the opportunity (or indeed the stamina!) to walk in the footsteps of our Adamthwaite Ancestors.  So we are hugely grateful to Paula, who has shared some more of her great photos ... these were taken on a walk around the fells surrounding Adamthwaite farm in March 2011. This is Uldale Force - from as close as Paula could get.  She said "Unfortunately I didn't get right up to the waterfall as the path was very narrow and muddy and above a long steep drop and I was too scared to go along it! I think the film crew must have helicoptered in when Matt Baker went there."
