Thank you to Margaret and Lesley for the first four photos
Photo 1 this splendid photo shows four generations of BLUE Adamthwaites: On the left is Alfred Andrew ADAMTHWAITE (1834-1928), far right is his daughter Eleanor who married James LAWSON in 1882. Their eldest son Will is standing and his son Billy is centre front.
photo 2 the family of James LAWSON and Eleanor (Adamthwaite) LAWSON: adults (l-r): Honora Hannah Lawson, James Lawson, Edwin (Ted) Lawson, Eleanor (Adamthwaite) Lawson; children (l-r): Jessica, Frederick, Alfred, Florence. It is thought this photo was taken in the garden at 15 Atlas Road
photo 3 are the memorial cards for Eleanor (Adamthwaite) Lawson and James Lawson
photo 4 shows Honora Harris seated on the left - Honora was a daughter of Rosina Adamthwaite (b. 1862) and the daughter of Alfred Andrew Adamthwaite and Honora (Field). The older woman seated on the right may be her mother Rosina (Adamthwaite) Harris .... can anyone help to confirm this?
photo 5 is of the gravestone at Springhill Cemetery in Ontario of Mary K Anderson (nee Adamthwaite) and her husband Edward. Mary Kathleen Adamthwaite was the daughter of Edward Thomas Adamthwaite and Kate (Firby) and in 1898 she and her younger sister Ethel Maud were transported to Canada as 'Home Children' by Dr Barnados following the death of their father and remarriage of their mother. Thank you to Scott for permission to reproduce this image.
photos 6 and 7 were sent in by Terry, and show John William Adamthwaite (1899-1939) and his wife Olga Morrad (~1900-1947).
