Note:  there is some mystery as to the identity of Martha Dimmock, one of the witnesses to this will. In the 1841 census she was a servant in John Allen Adamthwaite's household - however following the death of John Allen Adamthwaite (his wife Susan had died a few years earlier), by the time of the 1851 census the four Adamthwaite boys had become wards of Martha Dimmock and were living with her in Stoke Newington.
