Millthrop - Reverend William Adamthwaite (1753-1826) and Jane McEver lived here at one time (SC) memorial in Beverley Minster to Ann (Nee Hoggard) - wife of Reverend William Adamthwaite. She died in 1819 aged 63 Sarah Ann Adamthwaite, born 1857 in Caton, Lincolnshire - daughter of John Adamthwaite and Ann (Newsham). However, the Reverend William had left Ann to live with his housekeeper Jane McEver, with whom he had a son William Adamthwaite McEver Sarah was granddaughter to William McEver Adamthwaite (JB). She married Charles Tuck in 1876 we believe this photo shows Thomas Adamthwaite on the left, the son of Richard and Grace (Timperley) who travelled to Canada with his son John in 1912 - however we do not know who the taller man is the son of Thomas and Ellen (Walker) - John was killed at Flanders in WW2 (PhA) the photo shows Tom and Jenny standing at the back, with John, Ellen and Thomas in front (PhA) John was the son of Wm Greenbank Adamthwaite and Elizabeth (Carr) and his wife Maggie was the daughter of Richard Adamthwaite and Mary (Harling). They lived next door to the Greenbank Adamthwaites in St Hilda's Crescent (Paula) John (1890-1972); Walter (1892-1972) and George Willie, known as 'Uncle Bill' (1895-1961) You can read more about Maggie and her family in 'Rhoda's Story' in the Miscellany section
